Bar Refaeli is an Israeli model, television host, actress, and businessperson. She appeared on the cover of the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, and was voted No. 1 on Maxim’s Hot 100 list 2012. She has hosted The X Factor Israel, and co-hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, in Tel Aviv.

Bar was born in Hod HaSharon, Israel, to Jewish parents, Tzipi (Levine), also a model, and Rafi Refaeli, a horse stable owner. Her grandparents were Jewish emigrants, from Italy, Lithuania, and Poland. Rafi’s father’s family took on the Hebrew name Refaeli when they arrived in Israel. The derivation of both Rafi’s first name and surname come from the angel, Raphael, from the Bible.

Bar is married to Israeli businessperson Adi Ezra, with whom she has three children.

Bar’s paternal grandfather had the surname Refaeli.

Bar’s paternal grandmother had the surname Jubely.

Bar’s maternal grandfather was named Benjamin Levin (the son of Jacob Yasha Levin and Zehava). Benjamin was a Lithuanian Jew.

Bar’s maternal grandmother was Pnina Drabski (the daughter of Joseph Drabski and Chasia Slozki). Joseph and Chasia were Polish Jews. Joseph was the son of Wolf Drabski and Chia Berkovitz. Chasia was the daughter of Shlomo Slozki and Esther Dolgopiati.
