Neither Joe Burrow nor Dak Prescott would Colin Cowherd choose above the Detriot Lions’ star quarterback, Jared Goff. As he became the second-highest-paid quarterback in the league, the sports analyst believes the QB would very well stand by the deserving $212 million

There is no denying that Goff has proven himself an exceptional player in the last two seasons with the Lions. Considering his reputation when the Lions traded for him to bridge the gap to the future until they found their franchise quarterback who would lead to the glory of the Super Bowl, the quarterback has come a long way.

Just last season, he led the NFC championship game and led the NFL in many categories. If there’s any chance for the Lions to make history by winning their first Super Bowl, it’s with Goff in the lead. And so believes analyst Cowherd.

The lucrative deal that the Lions offered their starting quarterback has instigated a debate online about what Prescott’s contract would look like. Given that he is also entering the final year of his deal with the Dallas Cowboys, he is considered to have more potential than Goff.

Why Colin Cowherd favors Jared Goff in NFL debate

Last Tuesday, the Fox analyst joined the debate, arguing that the contract Goff received is unmatched by what the Cowboys’’ Prescott deserves, as the Lions’ quarterback has repeatedly outperformed Prescott in the course of his career. Without any hesitation, Cowherd picked Goff.

Goff, easy. I think he's getting better as he gets older. In the postseason, Dak has hit a wall. I also think Goff will have better protection and better weapons. The Cowboys will be very Dak reliant and when he throws 40 or more times, he is 8 in 18. So I think Goff will have a much better year.
Colin Cowherd said.

Cowherd expressed his unfiltered views on the wider discussion of which quarterback he would have on his team- Jared Goff or Joe Burrow?.

This is the hardest one. [Joe] Burrow is better, Burrow has four straight years with injuries, [Jared] Goff never gets hurt. I'd go Goff and I love Burrow. People always bang on Lamar Jackson for being hurt, but, okay, then Joe Burrow gets hurt. So if you're asking me today, who I would take, this moment, very close, it's Goff.
Said Cowherd on the recent episode of Herd with Colin Cowherd

Moreover, Cowherd further argued that he doesn’t consider Prescott to the same level as Goff and Matthew Stafford, for whom the Rams traded Goff to the Lions, closest in that comparison.
