TAMARACK, Idaho (CBS 2) — This week’s Idaho Adventure takes you zipping down the mountain at Tamarack Resort
our very own Nate Larsen shows us tamarack's zip line adventure.
"What's not to like about it? I mean we're zipping over canyons and through trees going 35-40 mph, it's pretty fun," said Conner Coombs, Tamarack Zipline.
School may be back in session but, summer playtime at Tamarack Resort isn't over just yet.
Folks can still plan thrill seeking adventures zipping over 3,500 feet of mountain terrain.
"It's a progressive course so it starts off easy, to get people used to the gear, and then they build off of each other, starting with the third one, it's a lot longer and faster, fourth ones about a thousand feet long, couple hundred feet off the ground," said Robby Russell, Tamarack Zipline Manager
"If you have a fear of heights that's really good, I mean I had a fear of heights when I started working here and that went away in about a week, so definitely helped me concur that," said Coombs.
The zipline tour has been open for ten years, zipping folks across eight different lines.
Across lines like one that leads directly into a tree house.
Your heartbeat and adrenaline will really get pumping as you're asked to step back off the ledge 105-feet up.
"We call it the leap of faith for a reason, I mean you jump off of the treehouse and it's a 105-foot platform, it kinda gets to some people," said Coombs.
"I like seeing people with a little fear and it's really enjoyable to help actually help them get over their fear, and by the end of the tour they feel like they've accomplished something," said Russell.
Zipline tours generally run through September, their information can be found here.
