Idaho Lt. Gov. McGeachin wants 50-state election audit

Idaho lieutenant governor Janice McGeachin wants a nationwide election audit in all 50 states.

McGeachin made the announcement on Monday -- days after Arizona finished up its election audit, which lasted six months and millions of dollars.

The Associated Press reported the audit, conducted by Cyber Ninjas, presented no evidence to support Trump's claim of a stolen election.

"The audit in Arizona's Maricopa County, pushed by Republicans in the state Senate, ended Friday with a whimper," the AP reported. "The six-month process concluded with a report that presented no evidence to support Trump's claim of a stolen election and ended up validating Biden's win in the state's most populous county."

But McGeachin called the results from the Arizona report as "startling" and included in her release several numbers, including that 23,344 mail-in ballots were voted from a prior address.

But, Maricopa County, from its official Twitter account, disputed that argument.

"Cyber Ninjas still don’t understand this is legal under federal election law," Maricopa County said. "To label it a 'critical' concern is either intentionally misleading or staggeringly ignorant. AZ senators should know this too."

McGeachin says she's calling on all 50 states to audit the elections.

"To protect Idahoans' electoral rights, we must guarantee through an audit that not only Idaho's elections are secure but the other 49 states are conducting their elections fairly as well," McGeachin said.
