The Hurt Business was one of the most successful and dominant factions during the pandemic era. It consisted of Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, MVP, and Cedric Alexander, and all of them were champions at one point. However, three-quarters of the former stable are no longer a part of WWE. As such, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T expressed his opinion about their potential future.
While speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T discussed where they could end up going if they reunited. He stated that joining WWE’s rival company, AEW, was not a good option. Instead, he suggested that they should go to TNA and reform The Hurt Business by adding a few members, such as Moose. The reason the veteran gave was quite interesting: he felt that TNA could really use their star power.
Moreover, Booker T thought that the dominant faction would get more opportunities to showcase their talents. Shelton Benjamin was released by WWE last September and has since been wrestling on the indie circuit. As for Bobby Lashley and MVP, the shocking news came a few days ago when they were no longer included on the internal roster.
Are these guys gonna end up All Elite as the new and improved Hurt Business? Or are they gonna go to TNA and create the Hurt Business over there? The reason I say that is because it’s not so saturated in TNA, where these guys will be seen and highlighted on a weekly basis. That’s what I see.Booker T on Hurt Business via the Hall of Fame podcast
Apparently, it turned out WWE did offer The Almighty a contract to re-sign, but he declined. Along with him, MVP also announced his departure from the Stamford-based company through several social media posts. The only remaining member of the Hurt Business in WWE is Cedric Alexander, who has just begun a new run on NXT.
Booker T expressed his honest opinion about Nic Nemeth’s TNA run
Former WWE star Dolph Ziggler was released by WWE in September of last year. Since his departure, Ziggler, who goes by the name Nic Nemeth, has wrestled in various promotions, including TNA. Booker T also shared his thoughts about Nemeth’s run outside WWE.
While speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker stated that Nemeth helped put TNA on the map with his star power. He felt that the former World Champion was happy to work there and was in high demand by many promotions following his amazing performance. Booker T said that he had heard nothing but praise for Nemeth in TNA since he got there.
Nic Nemeth. I don’t know I still want to call him Dolph Ziggler. But no man, to win the TNA World Champion, put them on the map over there. Now he’s wanted in WWE and TNA, that’s huge. It’s huge for Dolph Ziggler. And the thing is, it seems like he’s happy over there, bro.Booker T on Dolph Ziggler via the Hall of Fame Podcast
The former Intercontinental Champion recently won the 6-man elimination match at TNA Slammiversary and became the TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Nemeth defeated the likes of Joe Hendry and Josh Alexander and dethroned Moose on July 20.
