Serbian tennis legend Novak Djokovic is ready for his rematch with Carlos Alcaraz at the 2024 Wimbledon final this Sunday. As Djokovic defied all odds and came back from surgery to compete in his 37th Grand Slam final, Nole is excited about taking the court on Sunday. Djokovic also made his intentions clear as he shared an edit with Rihanna’s Run This Town playing in the background.
The video showed Djokovic’s campaign at the 2024 Championships so far. The Serbian is also seen talking about his campaign and thanking the fans for coming out and supporting him. The video ends with Djokovic fist pumping with the announcement of him reaching the 37th Major final playing in the background.
He shared the video on social media with a cheeky caption. Djokovic cleared his intentions as the 24-time Grand Slam champion mentioned “one more” in the caption.
One more. See you tomorrow, #NoleFamNovak Djokovic posted on X.
Novak Djokovic extends gratitude to special fans
While Novak Djokovic said that he was eager to see his fans on match day, the Serbian also expressed gratitude to his fans for being supportive towards him despite the results and circumstances. The 37-year-old also gave a special shoutout to a few fans who run campaigns on social media to hail Djokovic as the tennis GOAT.
Interestingly, Djokovic named Pavvy G, a controversial account on social media, known for throwing mud at the Serbian’s rivals as one of those people who he is lucky to have as his fan.
They wait for hours after the match for me to finish everything, when I drive by they are there. They don't even ask for a picture or a signature, but just to wish me good night. These are people who are very important in my life, who follow me. For example Julie, Pavvy G. I don't know how many are there who have been following me for 15 years.Novak Djokovic said ahead of the final match. (H/T: SportKlub)
It is also worth mentioning that most likely Djokovic will be targeted by the Wimbledon crowd as he has reignited his beef with them by calling them out for “disrespecting” him. It will be interesting to see how he reacts to the boos that will be thrown at him when he takes the Centre Court on Sunday, with his passionate fans cheering the backdrop.
