PAYETTE, Idaho (CBS2) — Superintendent Robin Gilbert said the Payette High School went on lock-down Thursday due to a student protest.
Gilbert said about 30 students are outside protesting "a number of different things." She wouldn't go into detail, but said she's talking with the class president.
The school is on a lock-down "to protect the educational environment for those students staying inside," according to Gilbert.
The Payette Police Chief told CBS2 that officers are not involved in the incident. He was apparently told it was a discipline issue, that kids were marching outside and there was no danger to the public.
