While the difficulty of Minecraft is not that high in general, there are still some hard mobs that require you to put some actual work into defeating. These creatures usually have dangerous attacks, high damage and very high HP. In this article, Gurugamer.com is going to showcase the top 5 Minecraft mobs with the highest HP.
1. The Wither
The extra "buildable" boss in Minecraft actually has two variants: The Java version has only 150 hearts while the Bedrock version has a whopping 300, even higher than the Warden. To summon a wither in Minecraft, build a T block with Soul Sand or Soul Soil, then place the three skulls on top. Upon spawning, the Wither would cause a big explosion, clearing out everything in the area.
The Wither's main attack is Wither Skulls that deal damage and inflict the Withering Status effect. There are two types of wither skulls: a fast-moving black one, and a slower blue one. The blue version can destroy most blocks. Withers is immune to any environmental effects, heal itself over time and will gain five hearts if they manage to kill any other mob.
2. Warden
The Warden, added to Minecraft as part of the 1.18 snapshots, is the mob with the highest HP to date. It has a whopping 250 hearts (500HP), on top of dealing the highest damage amongst all mobs in the game. At hard difficulty, one hit from the warden would remove 22.5 hearts from the player, which is already more than the max HP of 20.
Unlike the boss mobs, multiple wardens can spawn and attack the player, which increases the difficulty even higher. The worst part is that wardens do not drop anything, which means grinding through its 500HP pool is pointless.
3. The Ender Dragon
The Ender Dragon is the final boss of Minecraft. It has a visible Health Bar with 100 hearts (200HP). When facing the Ender Dragon, players must destroy the Obelisks first, as they will heal the boss over time.
The main attack of the Ender Dragon is highly damaging fireballs that linger on the ground, dealing damage to players who step on them. Knowing how to defeat the Ender Dragon is the crucial requirement for beating Minecraft.
4. Iron golem
Iron Golem is a large, strong neutral utility mob that defends players and villagers. It is one of the few mobs that can be either built or spawned naturally in the game. With their high HP (100) and damage, Iron Golems are one of the most helpful mobs in Minecraft and can be used for multiple purposes.
They attack all hostile mobs, outside of the Creeper. Unlike an actual pet, when an iron golem kills any mob, the player can obtain items dropped by the mob, but no experience orbs.
5. Elder Guardian
An elder guardian is a stronger and larger variant of the guardian, which can be found inside an Ocean Monument. It is the largest aquatic mob in Minecraft with the most HP (80). They have three methods of attacking, including firing its laser, inflicting mining fatigue, and a defensive thorn-like attack.
